Copper-Nickel, also known as Cupro-Nickel, can withstand seawater corrosion, erosion and bio-fouling. It is therefor widely used in marine and offshore industries.

Copper-nickel is known for its great resistance to seawater, as well as many other hazardous elements presented to metals. C706 and C715 are commonly used in seawater environments because of total resistance to barnacle growth, which is created by a thin tenacious protective film formation.
